What does the program do? |
|
The Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority’s (BCW&SA) Maintenance Program helps offset the cost of repairing a defective water service or sewer lateral (up to $5000.00) for residential and (up to $10,000.00) for commercial within the Authority’s service territory. |

How much does the program cost? |
|
Under this program, homeowners pay a $5.00 fee and commercial pay a $10.00 monthly fee per water or sewer service, which is included on the monthly bills issued to homeowners or business each year. |

Is there a deductible? (Property Contribution) |
|
A $500.00 residential or a $1000.00 commercial property contribution is assessed at completion of work. If you are with this program for 10 years without repair worked needed your property contribution will scale down to $50.00 a year for residential properties only and will reset to $500.00 after a claim is received. |

What is eligible under the program? |
|
The portion of the water service or sewer lateral that is eligible under this program runs from the main to the residential dwelling unit. Only water service or sewer lateral that connect to the main system will be eligible. The program is responsible for covering the repaired water service or sewer lateral site with clean fill soil, including seeding the area. |

What is NOT eligible under the program? |
|
Septic tank systems, private treatment systems or the cost to replace any trees, shrubs, flowers, sod, decks, concrete work (except for sidewalk and street work), retaining walls or out-buildings that may be damaged during repair work. |

What should I do if I think I have a problem? |
|
If you suspect you have a problem, please call the BCW&SA customer service center at 215-343-2538 so that we can make a determination as to whether it is a maintenance problem that needs to be addressed, or additional work or replacement is needed. |

What property types are eligible for the program? |
|
This program does not apply to industrial or multi-family properties with more than six dwelling units. |
|
Can I sign up water service or sewer lateral lines that are not in the BCWSA service area? |
|
Yes - As long as one of those (two) services is already a customer of BCWSA. |
|
